This 2004 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale is one of approximately 1,300 examples produced worldwide, and it was initially delivered to Barrett Imports in San Antonio, Texas, and has 11k miles. The car is powered by a 3.6-liter V8 that received a timing belt service in 2026, and shifting is handled via a six-speed F1 sequential transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Finished in Rosso Corsa over a Nero leather interior with carbon-fiber sport seats, it is equipped with ceramic-composite brakes, 19″ Challenge-style alloy wheels, a Challenge-style rear grille, power windows, and automatic climate control. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2026, this 360 Challenge Stradale is offered with service records, manufacturer’s literature, a window sticker, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.

The 360 Challenge Stradale was the track-focused version of the 360 Modena and featured weight-saving measures including composite bumpers, a Lexan rear window with carbon-fiber supports, and carbon-fiber mirror housings. This example is finished in Rosso Corsa with racing stripes and features xenon headlights, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, a carbon-fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, a Challenge-style rear grille, and quad exhaust outlets exiting through the rear fascia. The left headlight was replaced in 2026.
The silver 19″ Challenge-style alloy wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires that were mounted in 2026. The suspension of the Challenge Stradale was specified with lower and stiffer titanium coil springs, as well as a thicker rear anti-roll bar than those on the standard 360. Stopping power is from red-finished Ferrari-branded calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated ceramic-composite rotors at each corner. The brake fluid was changed in preparation for the sale.
The cockpit features carbon-fiber sport seats upholstered in Nero leather along with matching fabric on the dashboard. Weight-saving trim utilized in the Challenge Stradale model included carbon-fiber door panels, a carbon-fiber console, and reduced sound deadening. Amenities include aluminum pedals, power windows, and automatic climate control.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 220-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an 8,500-rpm redline as well as a digital fuel level readout and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, and coolant temperature. Paddle shifters for the F1 gearbox are mounted behind the steering wheel. The digital odometer indicates 11k miles.
The mid-mounted 3.6-liter Tipo F131 V8 features a flat-plane crankshaft, dry-sump lubrication, dual overhead camshafts, and five valves per cylinder. The Challenge Stradale was factory rated at 425 horsepower, an increase over the standard 360, achieved using lighter and higher-compression pistons, a revised intake manifold, and ported intake and exhaust runners. The timing belts and spark plugs were replaced in June 2026.

Message to the owner, go spend $2000 or less and get the dashboard fixed, I cannot believe you’re trying to sell a car for $1 million, and you can’t spend the time to get the dashboard fixed, think like a purchaser.

The market has clearly decided the 360 CS is no longer just a “modern Ferrari.” It’s becoming a serious collector car very fast.
Wouldn’t surprise me at all if this one ends up setting another benchmark.

I prefer the leather seats compared to the alcantara one's. this one should do great. Aftermarket stripe since it's not listed on the widnow sticker?

@RacerX1979 I was just commenting on your first statement "Convertibles are NEVER as valuable as their hardtop siblings" but then state it's all about production numbers. In fact, neither one is the rule. They made more Modena coupes than spiders but coupes will bring more money (I think? Don't follow the market). Regardless, still agree that irrespective of value, convertibles are always the wrong answer if a coupe is available.

In the medium term, the Challenge Stradale is certain to become the most prized and sought-after by collectors among all the subsequent V8 "specials" (Scuderia, Speciale, Pista). This is because it stands as the purist, analog progenitor of Maranello’s sports models—featuring a limited production run of just 1,288 units, an unrivaled and inimitable exhaust note, and a direct lineage to the one-make race series—while offering a raw, mechanical feel and an absence of intrusive digital aids that later "specials," despite becoming increasingly sophisticated and fast, have ultimately lost.

@RacerX1979 while I agree wholeheartedly regarding ‘spiders’ aka convertibles (I despise them), they’re far from always the less expensive option. 16M, the various ‘Apertas’ are all valued more than their coupe counterparts. All comes down to rarity, not necessarily the better car.

2. The CS is a totally different beast—a raw race car, not some Miami Vice float.
3. In collector car land, it's all about how many were made. I see a new 360 listed every other day—yeah, they made tons, so pick one if you want. Not as special as the CS, but hey, at least it's available, and what a great value compared to the CS.

Keep in mind that Challenge Stradale production numbers are low indeed and that under 280 were brought into the US which has the most relevance here.

Thanks @MichaelB. Very educative. Believe it or not, I understand. But, it's extremely disappointing that you were not in Ferrari management in Modena back in 2003/2004 when they sold the 360 Spiders F1 with window stickers at $195K (with some options) and the 2004 360 challenge Stradale with window stickers at the same $195K. They knew, perfectly well that productions were going to be 1288 vs 7570 respectively. They missed, big time, to cost all that list of amazing improvements, upgrades and "tolerances" and missed to window sticker those Stradales at least at $400K back then. I am glad that they produced only 1288 Stradales. At that price back in 2004, it would have been Ferrari's bankruptcy if they went for 8000 of those.

Only for my education. This car was sold in 2004 for $195K (window sticker) and it has now 11K miles. There is now a 10.8K miles 2003 360 Spider F1 that I know perfectly well which was sold in 2003 for $195K also (window sticker). So, in 2003/2004, those two cars cost the same ~$195K brand new. At that time, they knew that 7,570 360 Spiders were going to be produced and that 1,288 360 Challenge Stradale were going to be produced. Those two cars cost the same $195K back then. Why today, that Spider I am talking about cost $100K - $150K and this Challenge Stradale is going to be sold at $800K?

Yes the 360 engine is an evolution of the 355, while the 458 was entirely new. And NO, the bad vinyl covering on air bag cover appears on a few 360’s, but clearly not a universal problem, like the sticky was.

Isn't this engine, the 3.6-liter Tipo F131 V8, a more evolved and improved 355 engine? From what I understand it still has a flat plane crank, 5 valves per cylinder, better parts, more HP, and doesn't require engine out for service.
