Produced by Citroën from 1948 to 1990, the 2CV became an icon of minimalist, economical French motoring, powered by an air-cooled flat-twin. This 1977 2CV4 is equipped with a 435cc engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and is finished in red over a black interior with houndstooth-patterned cloth seat covers. Acquired by the current owner from a neighbor in 2010, this 2CV is now being offered for auction in Quebec.
Refinished in red in 2000, this 2CV features a full-length roll-back fabric sunroof, round headlights, a corrugated hood, exposed door hinges, and steel wheels. The seller describes the exterior as being in driver condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, the 2CV features a minimalist dashboard with a two-spoke steering wheel, a dash-mounted gearshift, low-back front seats, rear bench seating, and flap-style front windows. The black interior is complemented by houndstooth-patterned cloth seat covers. The seller describes the interior as being in driver condition.
Power comes from an air-cooled 435cc flat-twin driving the front wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. Standard features include an interconnected coil-spring suspension and four-wheel drum brakes with inboard front units.
