35k-Mile 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe
Presentation
This 1986 Porsche 930 Turbo Coupe is finished in special-order Moss Green Metallic over a Brown leather interior. Acquired by the seller on PCARMARKET in 2024, the car was subsequently imported to Canada and underwent approximately $25k in engine-out servicing and carefully selected upgrades focused on drivability and performance while preserving its original character. It features ARP head studs, a Scart exhaust system, Billy Boat exhaust manifolds, a Fabspeed wastegate pipe, a Stomski Racing shift coupler, and deep-dish Campagnolo-style wheels finished in a custom gold shade. Having spent the majority of its life in California and maintained by only a handful of caretakers, this 930 is now being offered for auction with approximately 35k miles showing on the odometer. Finished in special-order Moss Green Metallic, the wide Turbo-specific bodywork retains entirely factory original paint as verified by paint meter readings according to the seller. The car is said to have never undergone paint correction or detailing to preserve original paint thickness and authenticity. Exterior equipment includes integrated fog lights, a front chin spoiler, a tea-tray rear spoiler, an electric sunroof, and polished dual exhaust tips. The appearance is complemented by deep-dish 16” Campagnolo reproduction wheels measuring 16x8” front and 16x9” rear, finished in a custom gold shade and mounted with period-correct Pirelli Cinturato tires. An additional set of Gotti J55A wheels measuring 15x7” front and 15x11” rear accompanies the sale. The seller notes the body is free from rust and moisture damage, attributing its preservation to long-term California ownership and careful storage. Minor imperfections include several small stone chips, a paint blemish, and a stone chip on the lower passenger side of the windshield, all of which are documented in the photo gallery. CARFAX records show unspecified damage reported in 2020, which is said to have resulted from an engine harness replacement that was inaccurately reported to the previous owner's insurance company.
The cabin is trimmed in Brown leather upholstery and features a three-spoke black leather 930S steering wheel, while the original four-spoke brown leather steering wheel is included in the sale. Equipment includes power-adjustable seats, power windows and door locks, air-conditioning, Porsche-branded floor mats, and a Blaupunkt Monterey SQR 23 cassette radio. The seller notes the radio was refurbished under previous ownership, and the air conditioning system has been regularly serviced to maintain operability, although it has reportedly seen little use under current ownership. The CARFAX report shows a mileage discrepancy after the car was imported to Canada in 2024, which is attributed to the miles-to-kilometers conversion.
Rated at 282 HP and 289 lb-ft of torque, the turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six engine is paired with a 4-speed manual transaxle driving the rear wheels. The car benefits from approximately $25k in recent servicing highlighted by a comprehensive engine-out service including a new clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, seals, valve adjustment, and fuel injection tuning. Additional upgrades include ARP head studs, a Stomski Racing shift coupler with refreshed linkage bushings, a Scart muffler from France, Billy Boat exhaust manifolds, a Fabspeed wastegate dump pipe, a Fabspeed turbo oil drain tank, and a Mishimoto pusher fan for the fender-mounted oil cooler. A recent compression test reportedly showed uniform cold readings of 120-122 psi across all six cylinders, and the seller states the engine and transmission are leak-free with no smoke present during cold or hot startup. The factory exhaust system, previous clutch and flywheel components, and an additional Billy Boat muffler are included in the sale.
This sale will include a set of 15” Gotti wheels, the original exhaust and clutch components, a Billy Boat muffler, the original steering wheel, owner’s manuals, a spare tire, a tire inflator, a car cover, service records, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a Canadian registration.
The seller would like you to know: “It is rally-ready, free of any leaks or smoke! The compression numbers recorded around 35k miles show a consistent 120-121 psi across all 6 cylinders on a cold motor.”
