This 1997 Porsche 911 Turbo is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over supple Classic Gray leather with carbon-fiber interior trim, and is powered by a 400 horsepower-rated twin-turbocharged 3.6L flat-six that drives all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. The suspension has been upgraded with a ride height adjusted to RoW specifications, RS adjustable sway bars, and Bilstein PSS9 dampers. Equipment includes a sunroof, rear spoiler, Turbo S-style front brake ducts, and 18″ wheels. On the inside, power-adjustable front seats are joined by a K40 radar detector, a metal pedal set, and an aftermarket sound system consisting of an amplifier, Kenwood stereo, and Canton front speakers. Under the seller’s care since 2002, this 993 Turbo is now offered with service records dating from 2000, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The 993 Turbo featured wider bodywork, revised bumper covers, and a fixed rear spoiler to accommodate top-mount intercoolers when compared with the standard 993 coupe. This example is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic (92U) and features xenon headlights with washers as well as a power sunroof, a rear window wiper, and polished exhaust outlets. The rear bumperettes have been painted to match the body, and a front protection bar, clear turn signals, and Turbo S-style front brake ducts have been installed. The seller believes that the car has not been repainted, and photos of paint meter readings are provided in the gallery below.
The 18″ wheels are said to have been recently mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The car features an Automatic Brake Differential (ABD), and the 993 was the first 911 to feature multi-link rear suspension. Braking is provided by Porsche-branded four-piston calipers over cross-drilled rotors. Bilstein PSS9 dampers were fitted in 2003, and the seller notes that the car also has aftermarket spring perches, RS adjustable sway bars, and a suspension ride height lowered to RoW specification. The brake fluid was flushed in February 2026.
The cabin is factory-appointed with carbon-fiber trim and supple Classic Gray leather upholstery. Amenities include power-adjustable front seats with embossed headrests, cruise control, and automatic climate control. A metal pedal set has been installed, and the seller notes that the car also has a K40 radar detector, a Kenwood stereo, Canton front speakers, and an aftermarket amplifier.
The carbon-fiber-trimmed steering wheel is paired with a carbon-fiber-trimmed shifter, and the instrument cluster features chrome bezels. Instrumentation includes a central tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, an analog Quarz clock, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 41k miles, approximately 15k of which were added under current ownership. A service record provided in the gallery indicates that the speedometer required repairs in 2000, stating “Over 60 mph speedometer stops working.”
The twin-turbocharged 3.6L flat-six was factory equipped with Bosch Motronic fuel injection and was rated at 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque when new. The seller notes that the car has an upgraded oil cooling system. In February 2026, European Motorsports of Vista, California, repaired the oil cooler, replaced a power steering line, flushed the power steering and fuel systems, recharged the R134a refrigerant, and replaced the battery, fuel filter, engine air filter, and cabin air filters.

@seller Thanks. The gap between the fender and bumper is considerably larger on the outside of the vehicle, but once that gasket was put back into place it should at least be consistent on the L and R sides of the car. Nice car, GLWA.

@1337TXguy, Good morning! I have reviewed the two images in question. Image 47 appears to show a rubber gasket slightly out of place,but this has now been corrected. I do not see any panel misalignment in either photo or in person. It is my understanding that the prior owner had the front bumper removed when he had the front bumperettes removed and the Turbo S air inlets and fog lights installed. Thanks for your interest.

Most everything that will accompany the car is shown here. I will also be sending the original suspension, rear plastic under tray and a virtually new Covercraft car cover. I have always believed that preserving the documentation and original components was part of preserving the car itself.

@ChrisCOak, Good afternoon. The only PPF that I am aware of that was removed and replaced are the two pieces on the rear quarter panels that protect those lovely rear flares. I know the prior owner and stay in touch via Rennlist. He has several Porsche's and assured me the car was never tracked. When I conducted my initial PPI there was no evidence of excessive wear or damage on any components and the car was in nearly perfect condition having just recently won a concourse event on the East Coast. I do not know where you are coming up with the statement that owner 1 drove it alot and that the fronts had some heat and can assure you the car has no deferred maintenance and is nearly perfect in every regard. Yes, I have not changed the rotors during my ownership, and they remain in excellent condition.

You seem to have some insight into that owner (being a mechanic?) but do not know if the car was tracked. The records show the fronts had some heat. From your meticulous service records it appears you may have corrected the early sporadic service. So that’s great! I assume the rotors are from 11k as i don’t see another change - which speaks to your light use. Thank you.

That is definitely not normal wear, but often the reference of warped rotors is an incorrect diagnosis. Most of the time it is uneven brake pad deposition that gives the braking a "warped rotor" feel rather than actually warped rotors. The dealer may have just recommended replacing rather than getting to the bottom of the issue. You see many cars with 60k-80k on them with original rotors, some even higher. Really depends on driving conditions/style. Hard to know without any info on the diagnosis.

2. Any idea when the front ppf was installed initially? There is no PPF installed on the front end. as a former car detailer I prefer working on a painted service with pure carnuba wax.
3. Front end looks clean for 41K and a SoCal car. Yes, it is virtually perfect with a few minor pits as shown in the walk around video. The car was sparingly and carefully driven to protect and preserve it.
4. Also @BillG993 surprised a Turbo warped front rotors at 11K miles is that normal wear (owned a 993s which was lighter). I do not have any specifics as to why the rotors were replaced other than to state that the previous owner was a lot like me and suffered from a mild case of obsessive-compulsive disorder with a tendency towards perfectionism.
5. Looks like initial ownership was light on time based services but nice work on caring for it since then! Very tasteful upgrades. The only reason I can think that this might appear to have occurred is likely related to my inability to find all the prior records or the fact that the prior owner self-performed certain service work as he is an accomplished mechanic.

So the original owner had it done at some point. Makes sense. He clearly had an idea as to how he wanted the car to look and got it all done. Explains all the aftermarket changes. Although I prefer the X77 993 steering wheel, He focused on many of the right aesthetics, IMO.

I really wouldn't worry about it. The hood sticker has all the info one needs to understand what was original on the car. In this case, the only info you would get is what the 00051 line instruction code was for. Which, as I stated earlier, almost always is a trivial instruction for the production line. It is very common on the cars and can mean so many different things. You have everything else. The only thing that the CTC would verify for your car that isn't known is the engine and gearbox serial numbers for verification. The CTC won't even have the line instruction codes. You would need the build sheet for that as I mentioned earlier. If there were an issue with matching numbers car here, even the VIN Analytics ($13) build sheet would have that info and you get that online in minutes. But there is no reason to suspect that as an issue here so I wouldn't bother with going any further. So many Porsche air-cooled cars bought and sold on here daily and almost never see an explanation for the Z codes or the basic 5 digit line instruction codes. At least you have one of the two defined as it is a common Z-option and the other one isn't worth a lot of effort to find out.
The Porsche CTC ($500 fee) has to be done by a Porsche Classic designated dealer, of which there were about 14 in the country last time I checked. You have to take the car there and have it inspected and you receive the certificate a month or so later. There were all sorts of fraud issues with the COA program over the years so they discontinued it for that reason. It also explains why you now have to take the car to a Porsche Classic designated dealer for inspection. The fraud really became a problem.
One question I have: Did you convert the front bumper cover to the RoW setup or was it like that when you bought it? I think all agree, it's a favored look and we all wish the DoT didn't get involved in determining some engineering designs!

@BenzandBuick, I can assure you the mileage shown is correct. No speedometer or odometer parts were replaced and the actual mileage shown is correct. In the test drive video it was early in the morning and I had just got out of one of my other Porsches were I was doing a similar video. I misspoke and stated the incorrect mileage. The car has only 40,749 actual miles and is nearly perfect in all ways!

The carbon fibre parts in this car are not original. My car is factory-fitted with the carbon interior, and they come with options X47, X57, X56, X58, X77 on the options sticker.
The switch panels on the centre console are never trimmed in carbon. This is aftermarket as well.

@seller Without a doubt, this is a very fine example that has been lovingly cared for. There was another comment about the mileage. There is a reference to the odometer having been repaired at some point. I also picked up in the driving video the mention of a very specific number of miles: 70,748. Is that just one colossal slip of the tongue, and where else would that number have come from? If it’s the true mileage, it would certainly change things here considerably. I don’t intend to pass judgment without seeking clarification first.

Without the Porsche build sheet you just won't know what the line instruction code of 00051 is for, but it is a very common line instruction code and can mean endless instructions. Unlike the 5 digit Z codes that start with a 1 or 2, the ones that start with zero, don't always mean the same thing. Unfortunately, VIN Analytics doesn't have the info on those 5 digit line codes that start with a "0", but they are the best out there for the rest of them. So only real source for those codes is Porsche.

@Dave_Germany I think that seems to be the consensus for a lot of modern performance oriented cars vs. past generations. I will say, modern 911’s are a lot nicer to drive as a normal car on a daily basis than past ones, even if it is definitely more digital and less raw. I think the 991 was the last 911 that really appealed to me.. all of the other ones minus the 996 before that I’d be happy to drive, too.

It seems that a lot of 911 drivers and fans of the 911 prefer the older models more than the current, technically more complex cars.
In the long run, I believe that the air cooled 911 will clearly outperform the newer ones.

One question I'm sure will come up is why I'm selling after 24 years. The answer is simple: I never expected to part with this car. It has been one of the cornerstones of my collection, and I intended to keep it indefinitely. Unfortunately, a capital requirement for one of my real estate projects has made it necessary to sell a few collector cars, including this one. While it's difficult to let it go, I hope it finds a new owner who will appreciate and care for it as much as I have.

Very nice 993 maybe it’s me but I see everything but a Window Sticker did I miss it ? The carbon fiber interior parts are part of the factor build or added later. I had a 8,000 mi 993 turbo Black Metallic but I always. Wanted Silver, this is perfect.So point out the sticker if it’s available ? Thanks

Tommy , The Oct 2000 service ticket stated the speedo was not working above 60mph. It was fixed and no replacement parts were needed. The original owner confirmed the actual miles were correct. The odometer reflects the actual mileage at just over 40,000. Thanks for asking.

I purchased this car in 2002 after a long search for the best 993 Turbo I could find. Over the past 24 years, it has been one of the highlights of my collection and has always been maintained with one philosophy: preserve it rather than simply own it.
The car has never been involved in an accident, retains its original paint (verified with paint-meter readings shown in the gallery), and has always been serviced regardless of cost. Every repair and maintenance item has been addressed promptly, and there is no deferred maintenance. I have retained extensive service records, books, manuals, tools, air compressor, spare wheel, and the original suspension components that were removed when the Bilstein PSS9 dampers and RS sway bars were installed.
Immediately before this auction, I invested more than $5,000 in preventative maintenance to ensure the car is ready for its next owner. Following that service, the underside was professionally dry-ice and laser cleaned—not to hide anything, but to present the car exactly as it deserves.
The suspension modifications were chosen to enhance the driving experience while remaining completely reversible. I wanted the car to feel like the very best version of a factory 993 Turbo without compromising its originality.
I have tried to photograph every aspect of the car honestly and thoroughly. If there is something you would like to see that isn't shown in the gallery, I will gladly provide additional photographs, videos, or documentation. I want every bidder to have complete confidence in what they are bidding on.
