I owned a CORD L 29 convertible sedan that won many ACC D Awards plus many Concours events and I sold it after winning best of show at the New Hope Automobile show. It had started to drizzle as the show Awards were coming to an end and I drove the car to my home which was only 10 miles away however coming down one steep Hill that had a restricted speed limit and ascending the hill in front of me my wheels were spinning. The fresh wet surface on the asphalt and the front wheel drive were not a happy combination. I literally backed up the hill that I had just come from and then my forward momentum got me back home. I sold it just a couple weeks later. It wound up at the Peterson Museum
I believe that car was on the CCCA car tour that went from Newport Rhode Island to the San Francisco Bay Bridge about 25 years ago. Still looks lovely.
