I'm a BMW guy too. E90 my wife, E30, E39 and E24 M6 myself.
However a 993 is a different experience.

It seems that a lot of 911 drivers and fans of the 911 prefer the older models more than the current, technically more complex cars.

In the long run, I believe that the air cooled 911 will clearly outperform the newer ones.

Very good presentation and a wonderful car. I own an almost identical 993 4s with the turbo spoiler.

Perhaps this is interesting for most of you guys.
I'm German, yesterday I watched a potcast regarding the appreciation of the 10 most appreciated Porsche 911 in the first three months of 2026. You may be able to beat inflation if sitting in the right 911....

I will wrap up the list of the best 911 performers from January to March 2026.

Starting with number 10 on top:

Porsche 992.1 + 3,7 %
Porsche 992.1 Carrera GTS + 4,3 %
Porsche 997.2 Carrera 4S + 4,5 %
Porsche 997.2 Carrera S Cabriolet + 4,7 %
Porsche 992.2 Carrera 4 GTS + 6,0 %
Porsche 993 Carrera 4 S + 6,1 %
Porsche 993 Turbo + 7,4 %
Porsche 991.2 Carrera S + 9,5 %
Porsche 996.2 Turbo + 10,8 %
